The magic of making people laugh, cry or dance with the concatenation of sounds in time and frequency is a spell for me. For this reason, I have dedicated much of my life to playing, organizing, and disorganizing sounds, influenced by the mountains of the Colombian Andes and the Magdalena River of my Huilense land. Below you will find some samples of my work as a songwriter and performer.
As a songwriter, I have a collection of more than 120 songs, and some of them have been awarded at several of the most important festivals in Colombia and have been performed by musicians whom I love and admire. Some of them are:

Necedad. María Mar, 2015. Song awareded at the Festival Nacional Hato Viejo Cootrafa in 2013. Included in the album Reserva Especial.
No hieren. Urpi Barco and Lucho Hermida, 2019. This song was included in the album Urpi Barco y Lucho Hermida, canciones con la orquesta universal. Special collaboration with Vallenato King Julián Mojica. Inspired by the stories of the brave Montes de María women who have resisted Colombian violence for so many years.

Por el borde del camino. Lucho Hermida, Adriana Vázquez, and Carlos Taboada, 2012. This song was selected from 315 registered songs to be part of the compilation CD (18 tracks) promoted during the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Debe ser. Faoba, 2020. Song included in Faoba’s EP.
Retrato. Urpi Barco, 2017. Song included in Urpi Barco’s album Retrato.
As a performer, I have traveled through the world of Latin American music, Brazilian music, having my most outstanding performances as a member of the Oí group. With this group, we won more than fifteen Colombian national performance awards and shows in the country’s most important concert halls. Also, we represented Colombia in international festivals such as the Cartagena International Music Festival, and the renowned International Folklore Festival in Cosquín-Argentina, and we shared the stage with important artists such as Joaquín Sabina and the famous violinist Alexis Cárdenas.
